• Turns out I hired the wrong developers. I was too focused on rates and not enough on value.

A great developer will pay for itself. Not just in terms of product development, but working with a talented dev is also the best way to improve your own skills.

  Shout out to @jankeesvw

  Marc Köhlbrugge

  Serial maker

• Jankees is an expert in product development. he keeps you sharp within features and knows like no other how you can keep something small. Jankees is not just a programmer, he is an experienced maker with a passion for programming and developing a product in the broadest sense of the word.

  Sven Hanssen

  Freelance product designer

• I don’t even know where to start! I’ve been working with Jankees for almost 15 years now and he is one of the best and most pragmatic developers I know. He’s always able to come up with an easy to implement solution for complex problems. Being ‘lean’ is his second nature.

I love working with this guy on projects for customers as well as our own product, Timi. And his sense of humour makes everything we work on even more fun.

My advice? If you need a fullstack developer who isn’t afraid to speak up and can also transform a team into a well oiled Scrum machine if needed, then hire this man!

  Rowan Zajkowski

  Freelance UX/UI Designer

• During my time at Ultimaker I worked alongside Jankees on a Rails project. We didn’t have specific frontend or backend developers at the time but everyone contributed to the full stack. Jankees is a great Ruby on Rails developer as well as a frontend developer. He has a great eye for quality and good code. Next to to this he is experienced in working with a scrum team and a great person to work with in general. I would highly recommend hiring Jankees on your project.

  Davy Cardinaal

  Freelance Ruby on Rails Developer

• Jankees is an experienced, professional developer who understands his profession well and delivers valuable software. He is a teamplayer with a good sense of humor, the necessary focus and a clear, own opinion. I hope to come across Jankees again, preferably while working in the same team.

  Rogier Serré

  Team coach

• Jankees is one of my favourite people to work with. He's dedicated to staying up to date with all things. A quick learner and rock solid developer. Crunching projects like a pro.

  Freelance developer

• Every Wednesday something special happens at our school. A parent who uses his expertise in the classroom and learns, discovers and builds together with the students.

Today they dove into the world of AI: full of enthusiasm, courage and creativity. No "can we do this?", just trying. Students eager to take their turn and visibly enjoying learning.

For me this is a perfect example of how collaboration between school and parents strengthens education quality. A true win-win, with joy, learning moments and lots of energy. Proud that we get to do this together.
